Mountain View, CA • Hybrid 2 days/week onsite (Mon and Tue, 10am–3pm PT core hours)

• Office: 590 E Middlefield Rd, Mountain View, CA 94043
• Collaboration with Japan team (Honda/Drivemode): a few times per week between 5–7pm PT

Compensation

Staff Android Engineer — $180,000–$220,000 base + bonus + full benefits

No equity or RSUs

Bonus Structure

• First‑year bonus: ~12.5–25%
• 2nd year bonus: ~17.5% to 35%
• 3rd year bonus ~25% to 50%

Drivemode is Honda's software and user‑experience division focused on the digital experience for new electric vehicles. You'll join a startup‑style team inside a global company, working on companion apps and backend services that power next‑generation Honda and Acura EVs.

What you'll do

• Own and ship Android features in collaboration with PM, Design, and partner teams
• Contribute to product definitions, UX, and technical design
• Design APIs and SDKs together with external teams
• Support lifecycle processes in a regulated, safety‑oriented environment
• Build prototypes to validate challenging requirements and test new ideas
• Mentor engineers and lead technical discussions and architecture reviews
